Snow-fun

We had a great time knitting those scarves these past few weeks

Today was super-rad because Jared, me, Kaitlin, and Dad Kessie took a trip to the snow. We tried out the snowboard and Jared and I had a blast. Neither of us had snowboarded before, but we quickly grew very fond of the sport. Jared helped me a bunch. It would have taken me a while on my own. Falling is so fun.
It was hard to switch from skateboard mode to snowboard mode. The survival techniques were quite opposite. We also took inter-tubes down big hills. Oh how I love snow flying into my face at high speeds! Dad Kessie was getting daring and going off jumps face first. I want to go to the snow again!
Abominable Snowman outfit! Or Big Foot. I love this attire.

Care Free Vacationing

It has been so nice to feel the nip of the cold, do puzzles all day, read, eat delicious food, bond with the family and much more with all worries and responsibilities on hold until we return to Hawaii. At first it was hard for me to sit still without having to worry about cleaning, work, car troubles, etc. I realized that when I am at home I don't sit still often and I thrive off of being busy (or outdoors) every second. Now that our vacation is coming to a close I am going to miss this lifestyle. I am glad we were able to spend time with Jared's side of the family. The Kessie's and Goude's are awesome! One of my favorite parts was joining in in song while the family got together to play guitar, fiddle, upright bass, mandolin, and sometimes banjo. Jolly Times!

Okay, so the sound got messed up, but this was fun

RADIOHEAD

I love radiohead. Today Jared and I were at the store and he had some extra money to spend. While he did that I browsed & listened to music in the musical section. We started to leave and Jared pulled something out of his coat and surprised me with the new Radiohead cd. Instead of buying cool stuff for himself he bought something for me. He is so radical! Yes I know I could have downloaded it for free, but Radiohead is one of those bands I respect so much that if I hadn't paid anything I would have felt guilty.

Radiohead puts me in such a daze that I could lie on the floor and listen to them for hours. I feel like their music is on the same wavelength as my brain. A whole other world musically. Yay!
